Rita | Cross Breed
Rita, Crossbreed, DOB 07.04

Her Story: Rita was found stray in the middle of winter, already micro-chipped, but owner declined reclaim.
Salient points: Rita is a healthy young 3 year old crossbreed. Her breeding is possibly Whippet x Staffie, her nature is gentle and she has good dog skills. She is needy so we are looking for a family where she is not left for long periods as she may howl initially in protest; needs time to feel settled.
Advert: Rita is a sensitive, graceful and charming dog. She loves to snuggle and be close. She has situation dependent separation anxiety, in other words, in her needy predicament in rescue she can cling to contact, but we feel she should settle into a family routine once assurances are made around her ongoing role, within her new family. Rita is a good all-round dog, who appears to have had a good, but maybe slightly neglectful background as she welcomes human love and knows how to trust and bonds well. She is now spayed and undergoing vaccination.
Rita walks well on a lead and mixes well with dogs outside. She would benefit from training to shore up her skills generally and her recall in particular. Rita is intelligent and responsive in all her instincts. After her initial nerves her reveals a very tender and gentle demeanour. Rita is a sweet dog who will make her new family extremely proud; they will delight as she continues to unfold and will be treasured.

Rudy | Greyhound
Rudy is a 5 year old greyhound who is looking for a lovely retirement home. He is looking a bit worse for wear thanks to his racing days and could do with lots of tlc. Rudy has the loveliest nature and just wants to be cuddled all of the time. He is quite a quiet boy, who is pretty undemanding so would be great for a first time dog owner. Rudy also loves other dogs and really loves people. He is a very sepcial boy who deserves a special home.
Rudy is castrated, microchipped and vaccinated.

Harry | Cross Breed

Harry, Boxer x Staffie, 2 years old
His Story: Harry was found stray as an older pup. His instincts are bashful and his dogs skills still playful and clumsy...so he sat waiting for a rescue place for 5 months. He is now a valued member of our Team!
Salient points: Harry is a young Boxer x Staffie. 6 months in kennels has kept him safe, but hasn't helped him prepare for life. His owner needs experience to offer him training and in 6 months you won't match this dog...his temperament is superb.
Advert: Harry is a Boxer x. Harry 'the boxer manager'... he strangely accompanied another dog Bruno into our rescue! Know what I mean 'Arry  Well Harry is a young star in the making. What has life got to offer you? A lot better than it has served up for you so far. Harry has an air of a gentleman, but tinged with a sadness. We are enjoying his company and together we will put fun and laughter on the agenda. We have begun the serious search for his family.
A remarkable dog who needs kindness and guidance. He has the looks! He has loads of personality! He is neutered, vax'd and chipped. Harry is just a novice in some areas, but well meaning. Socialisation is the key word and training classes will soon help Harry in building his confidence. Being in a home environment will allow him to settle away from scary, noisy kennels. A beautiful dog who will capture your heart.
“Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

Jenna | Cross Breed (Large)

Jenna, Staffie x, DOB 2007
Her Story: Jenna was found stray in December; running scared in the snow stray avoiding capture for 3 days. Found to be dehydrated, starving and having recently had puppies. She settled into kennels and proved to be a gentle giant with a good trust of people - must have been toxins built up in her system affecting her thoughts. 3 very similar dogs found within a 2 week period thought to be related.
Salient points: Large dog ?Gt Dane x -Jenna has a gentle nature within a 'fun sincere personality. Recently had pups and had made multiple litters in the past. Now spayed, chipped and vax'd. Good with people and dogs. Meets dogs nicely on the lead. Needs a good sized garden which is secure more to avoid dog thief than concerns of her escaping.
Advert: Jenna is a Tigress; about 2-3 years old. She has a soft fawn brindle coat which is improving since being in our care. Jenna has a good sense of her size and how to calibrate her possible impact when expressing her joy and gratitude for love offered, or response to enjoyable events. She is happy to sleep where placed and adjusts within a domestic setting well. She is housetrained and respectful of possessions. However can be a an opportunist with food currently as Jenna has known real hunger. We would recommend 3 or 4 small meals a day until she settles and develops food trust. Takes food very gently and is respectful of food, no aggression shown.
Jenna will be loved to bits by a large dog family. Her heart is caring and her whole demeanour is sincere. Jenna has probably lived with at least one other dog. She seems to enjoy dogs company, but not too pushy if another dog isn't terribly interested ... that leaves her freer to meld with the people in her life! Jenna in now in good health and ready for "the good life" she anticipated as a puppy and dreamed of as a young adult.
“Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

Barnaby | Cross Breed (Medium)
Barnaby is a medium sized dog who was found as a stray. He's a little underweight at the moment and we think he is around three years old. He has been neutered and we think he maybe ok with other dogs but this is still under assessment at the moment as he has only just arrived in our care. We have no history on what he would be like with cats and children but he was fine around 10 & 12 year old children thoroughly enjoying a game of tug of war with an old dog lead! Barnaby absolutely adores a cuddle and is a really affectionate boy. All in all, first assessments are that he's a really lovely dog. Lam and Bretta | Jack Russell Terrier
Lam and Bretta who we think are mother and daughter aged two and four. They need to be rehomed together as they are clearly closely bonded. They've been handed in to us by their owner in this condition. They had literally just arrived so still needed to go to the vets to identify what the skin condition is. Both very petite Jack Russell's and a lovely friendly temperament although both a bit shaky and confused by their new surroundings. The skin condition only affects one of the girls.
These lovely little girls cannot go to a new home yet however you can visit and reserve them. Home checks will need to be carried out and all this can be done whilst the skin condition is being treated so when we know we are rehoming a 100% fit and healthy dogs you can take both these little poppets home with you.

Smudge | Jack Russell Terrier
Smudge, a Jack Russell cross about 18 months old. He was found as a stray so we have no history. He has been neutered and seems ok with female dogs. Smudge is a really friendly little lad, whose tail never stops wagging. He really enjoyed having some fuss from 10 & 12 year old children. http://s376.photobucket.com/albums/oo210/nikmurphy/Smudge/

Tigger | Greyhound
Tigger is a lovely Greyhound who is around 18 months old and didn’t make the grade as a racing Greyhound. He’s already partially housetrained but still needs acclimatising to living in a home and learning the rules of what is and isn’t acceptable. He’s a big, energetic dog but has really come out of his shell since his first rehoming. He was very timid and scared when he first came to the kennels but since his rehoming he’s been returned a totally different dog. Tigger does however suffer with seperation anxiety and therefore needs a fosterer or owner prepared to put in the work to make him feel safe on his own in a home environment. This will require dedication and commitment.

A bag of beans, loves fuss and attention, very playful and a really lovely dog. It’s a delight to see a dog whose life was saved really ‘grow’. Tigger needs to go to a home with adults or older teens only where someone will be around for most of the day. Tigger suffers from seperation anxiety so will need someone prepared to give that bit extra to build his confidence and tackle his fears of being left alone. He's been to two homes in quick succession, so he now needs someone prepared to go the extra mile for him. A home without cats due to his racing training.
Please ring Wendy on 07766124364.

Bronson | Mastiff Cross
Bronson is a three year old Mastiff cross aged around three years old. He's good with people and children. Bronson has only just arrived so needs to have a full assessment. We do know he is epileptic and the kennels can advise further on this condition, how it affects Bronson and whether he requires any medication. Bronson is a very strong dog who requires lead training. At the moment he takes you for a walk! A beautiful big dog with a really lovely nature.

Lilly | Labrador Cross
Lilly - Labrador/Rottie cross aged six months. Good with children and other dogs. No history of living with cats. Lilly is a lovely girl, very lively and energetic. She will need training as she's just a large very playful puppy at the moment with tug of war being a favourite game. Beautiful temperament though and was a very confident, sociable girl so with a little training will make someone a wonderful pet.

Jack | Springer Spaniel
Jack is an eight year old springer spaniel who has only just arrived with us and is therefore still ungoing initial assessments. You cannot fail to fall in love with this guy. He's an absolute star. Jack has been described as a "good all rounder" so probably good with dogs, kids and cats but the kennels will confirm and we'll update this text when we have more information. Jack was quite shy on first meeting you but it only took a few tentative sniffs for him to realise you could give him that tummy tickle he was desperately craving. He soon turned into a very fussy lad who just wanted lots and lots and lots of cuddles and fuss. Jack has been used to living outside so may need to learn how to live in a home. A really super boy who will make a wonderful family pet. As with all spaniels, he will need plenty of exercise.

Buster | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Buster is a gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier who has literally just arrived with a very handsome face. Details will follow after he has been fully assessed. He does seem particularly friendly and very happy. Buster was happy to play with the older children and loved a cuddle. He seems to really love being around people, so much so he really didn't want to go back into his kennel. He would probably benefit from a home where someone can be with him most of the day as he seems a very sociable dog but the full details will follow when the kennels have been able to get to know his personality better. We have no age as yet but seems quite a young lad.

Diesel | Alsatian / German Shepherd
Diesel is a four year old male Lurcher/German Shepherd cross. He's quite territorial with strangers and will need an owner prepared to visit him a few times prior to rehoming to ensure he builds his trust. Diesel has no history with other dogs, cats or children and will need an experienced owner prepared to go the extra mile. He would benefit from further training around his territorialness. Kelsey | Staffordshire Bull Terrrier
Kelsey is a three year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier brought into us as her owner could no longer afford to care for her. She has recently had a litter of pups who have all now been rehomed so now Kelsey's babies have flown the nest, it's time she had a family again. Kelsey is a really lovely girl and we cannot stress that enough. You'll very quickly fall in love with her. Kelsey is known to be good with kids but would need to be rehomed as the only dogs and as she likes chasing cats, she's probably best rehomed without felines. Zak | Rottie Cross
Zac is a one year old Rottie cross who was brought into us as he doesn't like cats. Zac is great with kids and other dogs and is a really friendly, likely lad. A really lovely, affectionate boy who will make someone a wonderful pet. Video link - http://s376.photobucket.com/albums/oo210/nikmurphy/Zac/
