Lurcher SOS is a Lurcher Rescue in Surrey, covering the South East of England. We are all volunteers and our mission is to rescue and home abused, abandoned and neglected Lurchers and Greyhounds from both the UK and Ireland. These dogs come to us for various reasons, some are strays, some have been ill treated and some need to find a new home because their owners no longer want them. We will also try to help other sighthounds and other sighthound rescues wherever possible. All our dogs are placed in warm and loving foster homes where they are carefully assessed and, if needed, rehabilitated. None of our dogs are kept in kennels. All Lurcher SOS rescue dogs are neutered where possible and given full veterinary treatment, microchipped and vaccinated before going to their new homes. We are a non-profit organization and receive no funding. We rely solely on donations from the public and are desperately in need of fundraising support to cover the cost of the care of our dogs.
